Fans disappointed with the lack of Aquaman in this year’s “Justice League War” — despite his role in the DC Comics story the animated feature was based on — can take comfort in the fact that “Justice League: Throne of Atlantis” is on the way. TV Guide has new details on Warner Bros. and DC’s latest straight-to-home release project, which shares its name with a recent Geoff Johns-written “Justice League” and “Aquaman” crossover, and is slated to “trace the origin of Aquaman.”

TV Guide distinguishes the animated feature from the comic book by stating this story will focus on the young Arthur Curry, who will be voiced by “90210″ and “Star-Crossed” actor Matt Lanter — best known in the voice acting world as Anakin Skywalker on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”

“A lot of times with Aquaman people just focus on his powers and their opinion of them as being lame — which I don’t believe — and that’s all they think of him,” supervising producer James Tucker is quoted. “Hopefully we’ve made him a person in people’s eyes first. And then the powers and the telepathy with fish and all that can be put in perspective.”

Also appearing in the voice cast: Jason O’Mara (Batman), Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Christopher Gorham (the Flash), Sean Astin (Shazam), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman), Jerry O’Connell (Superman), Sam Witwer (Orm) and Sumalee Montano (Mera).

“Justice League: Throne of Atlantis” is slated for release on DVD, Blu-ray, digital download and On Demand early next year.

The pessimism outlook came to fruition Thursday when The CW decided not to renew low-rated freshman drama “Star-Crossed.”

A weak performer out of the gate, the drama garnered a passionate fanbase but failed to grow in the manner that would have been required. Its Monday night counterpart “The Tomorrow People” also felt the swing of the proverbial ax.

Responding to the cancellation, star Matt Lanter Tweeted, “I regretfully tell u that #Starcrossed will not be back for season 2. Love u all #Stargazers so much. Thanks for ur unwavering support!!

His co-star Aimee Teegarden added, “Beyond grateful & lucky 2 have worked W my amazing #StarCrossed cast on @CW_network Thank you to our wonderful fans! U guys rock my socks x.”

Unfortunately after this Monday’s episode, which is the finale, Star-Crossed will not be returning as the CW Network has cancelled the show.

On Thursday, the network announced that it would be adding, dumping and renewing some shows. See if your favorite is sticking around.

Canceled: “The Carrie Diaries,” “Star-Crossed” and “The Tomorrow People.”

Renewed: “Beauty and the Beast” and “Hart of Dixie,” along with previously announce returning series “Supernatural,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals” and “Arrow” and “Reign.”

New to the CW? “iZombie,” “The Flash,” “The Messengers” and “Jane the Virgin.”

Emery (Aimee Teegarden) and Roman (Matt Lanter) have had some hot-and-heavy makeout scenes — remember that underwater makeout/air-sharing hybrid? — but it appears the pair hasn’t gotten too far past second base. Before Season 1 closes together, though, it seems like Romery will finally consumate their OTP, or at least come close. It might even happen in tonight’s episode, “This Trick May Chance to Scathe You!”

In an interview at WonderCon 2014 last month, Aimee and Matt dished on the future of their relationship. The line of questioning started innocently enough, with KSiteTV asking if they’ll be kissing in any more exotic places in upcoming episodes. As it turns out, we haven’t seen the last of Romery makeouts for Season 1.

“If you consider a shed an exotic place,” teased Emery. Maybe the shed where they first met?!

“With spaghetti?” jokes the cameraman, referencing the snack that little Emery fed young Roman when she rescued him way back in 2014.

“That’s in the X-rated version which we shot, but we’re not airing,” Aimee teases back, but Matt follows up with some serious info on some Romery sexytimes.

“We’ve got a couple more… scenes,” he dishes, laughing. “We’ve got a big sexy scene coming up, toward the latter end of the series.”

With only two episodes left, we’re guessing that means tonight — although it could be next week.
Aimee gave us some seriously juicy details on the upcoming scene. “It’s a very intense scene that comes up between Emery and Roman… and Chelsea [Gilligan, who plays Teri] gets in there at one point.”

“Whoa,” concludes Matt. Whoa, indeed. We can’t wait… although we’re hoping they weren’t referring to that time that Emery walks in on Roman and Teri while he’s drugged in “What Storm Is This That Blows So,” because that would be a serious disappointment. Either way, that wasn’t in a shed, so fingers crossed!

This is a new development that we’ve been waiting on for a long time! Taylor even asked Emery about Atrian sex in Episode 11, “Give Me a Torch”… and Emery confirmed that she and Roman never got intimate before their stormy breakup.

“I really like Drake,” Taylor confided in Emery before the Winter Blast. “At least on the bright side, sex with an Atrian is pretty amazing, right?”

“Roman and I — we never…” Emery responded.

“No. Seriously? What were you guys doing in the storage closet the whole time?” asked Taylor. Seriously.
Well, we’re glad Taylor brought it up, because a Romery sex scene has officially been moved from our wishlist to our loose-end list — and it’s a loose end that should be tied up in the next couple of episodes. Get your popcorn ready!
